Got a fancy DSLR and leave it on auto-everything? Or just want to point-n-shoot better pics? I am no pro by any means, this is a hobby, but have been steadily advancing my craft over the last 2 years. Is anyone interested in getting together for a few hours to shoot pics in a cool location, compare results, get and share some pointers, and perhaps grab a bite to eat? I attached a pic to demonstrate where I am at.

Oh yeah, I have been told my pic here is WAY too serious, I have been known to smile on occasion :)

Hi Steve, thanks for the response. Resist the urge for a D3! Every time you think your current camera is lacking, do a search for it on flickr.com. You are sure to see lots of pics where you will say "I didn't know my camera was capable of that!" FYI I shoot a Nikon D40 (bottom of the line), and have no plans to upgrade until it breaks.

Hi Ron,

I am a new member . I was just going through the forums and saw your post on photography. Your pic looks great. I have a Canon Rebel XT and I am not a pro. What kind of camera do you have? What has been your experience with NJP so far? Thanks

Hi Regy, thanks for the kind words! I shoot with a Nikon D40. You can see my photography at http://rsignorino.smugmug.com/

NJP events have been a great way for me to meet new people; like anything, the more you put into NJP, the more you will get out of it.
